Original watercolour paintings, pastels and life drawings by talented artist Silke Ukena based in Danbury, vibrant figurative, landscape and floral work.

Silke is currently training for a degree in Fine Art at Havering College Hornchurch, part of UCL, under the tutelage of Chris Stevens.

“My aim is to develop new techniques in traditional portrait painting with oils, furthermore exploring and deepening my understanding of Contemporary Art. Attending university will provide an insight towards new thinking and latest methods, allowing me to convey deeper meaning visually through my artwork. Having spent most of my adult life happily raising my four children and now still enjoying my profession as an Osteopath, I feel extraordinarily privileged to fulfil another dream in studying Art at a Higher Level. My great grandmother Vala Lamberger, a well known and successful German artist of the Victorian era, has been an inspiration all my life.”
